| MEET THE AWF STAFF: Elise Ketcham, Communications Manager Elise has lived in Arizona her whole life, and has a master’s degree in biology and a background in urban wildlife ecology and science communication writing, with an interest on human-wildlife interactions. Her work reflects a strong interest in how people and wildlife share space, and how thoughtful management can support both. She was raised exploring the deserts of the Southwest, chasing dove and quail with her dad, fishing in the White Mountains, and camping across Arizona. Today, Elise is an avid birder and forager and is passionate about improving access to outdoor recreation and maintaining wildlife connectivity across working landscapes. In her work with the Arizona Wildlife Federation, she focuses on public engagement, education, and conservation outreach. She is passionate about making conservation issues more accessible and relevant to the public, translating complex science and policy into stories and experiences that connect with people. |
