Native Plant Nurseries and Parks in Arizona

  • Arizona Native Plant Society offers an extensive county-by-county list of nurseries and organizations that provide native plants for sale across Arizona

  • Boyce Thompson Arboretum in Superior lies a thousand feet higher in elevation from the valley and has a variety of plants for sale for the desert and transition zones.

  • Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix features excellent collections of desert and desert-adapted species and hosts a semi-annual plant sale.

  • Desert Survivors in Tucson has an extensive selection of natives and is a unique provider of integrated employment for adults with intellectual developmental disabilities in the context of a retail native plant nursery. 

  • Flagstaff Arboretum in Flagstaff is open seasonally and is dedicated to increasing the understanding, appreciation, and conservation of native plants of the Colorado Plateau.

  • Spadefoot Nursery in Tucson specializes in plants from southern Arizona and Mexico that support local wildlife. They also offer edible food crops and botanical curiosities. Their instagram and facebook accounts are highly educational.

  • Tohono Chul Gardens & Galleries in Tucson has many native gardens to visit, sells plants grown in their greenhouse year-round, and holds a very large annual plant sale.
