Your Legacy...
A Great Choice for the Great Outdoors
You can make an IRA Rollover Contribution — or qualified charitable distribution (QCD) — directly from your IRA to the Arizona Wildlife Federation.
Because you paid into your IRA with pre-tax dollars, IRA Rollover Contributions allow you to enjoy a double tax benefit as you are then distributing these dollars directly to AWF without paying taxes on them during this second transaction.
QCD Eligibility
You become eligible to make a qualified charitable distribution (QCD) from your IRA at 70.5 years of age.
Required Minimum Distribution
Once you reach the age of 72, you are required to take a minimum distribution from your IRA account. Many individuals who are required to take funds from their IRA, but do not need them for living expenses, choose to make contributions to support the work of favorite charities — while enjoying the tax benefits. Arizona Wildlife Federation would be honored to receive your support in this way!
How it Works
Your qualified charitable distribution (QCD) must be made directly from your IRA custodian to the Arizona Wildlife Federation on your behalf. Each financial institution has its own process for initiating a QCD. Your financial institution will have the required forms to fill out and can assist you with any questions you may have. Your financial institution can also ensure you receive any potential tax benefits associated with this type of gift.
